Don Shipe, PT, DPT, CMP
Don Shipe is the co-owner of Shipe Physical Therapy.
He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Bloomsburg University in 2006 and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Scranton in 2010. In 2014 he became a Certified Mulligan Practitioner.
Since graduating, Don has been actively involved in the American Physical Therapy Association of PA serving as chair of the North Central District until 2021.
He has experience treating patients of all ages and with a wide range of conditions. Don has treated residents of the Sunbury area in the past and is excited to be back in Sunbury in his own private practice setting!
Don resides in New Berlin with his wife Tiara and their children, Maddox and Delaney. Don loves to coach Delaney’s soccer team and watch Maddox on his bowling team. Don enjoys golfing and watching sports; as well as volunteering his time at local autism events which hold a special place in his heart since his son is diagnosed with autism. He is a diehard fan of Philadelphia sports other than football, where his first love is the Buffalo Bills.
Tiara Shipe, PT, DPT
Tiara is a Physical Therapist and Co-owner of Shipe PT. She is from Troxelville, PA and was in the last graduating class of West Snyder High School in 2004. She completed all of her college education at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Tiara has experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting, as well as in the skilled nursing home setting. This gives her a unique ability to care for those with more involved conditions such as as strokes, traumas, vertigo, etc. Tiara is very involved in the local Autism community helping with any event she can and always finding new ways to advocate for their son Maddox. She’s also a soccer/gymnastics/girl scouts/bowling Mom who enjoys some “guilty pleasures” on TV such as The Bachelor and 90 Day Fiance.
Becky Rorke, PTA
Becky is an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant who has been with Shipe PT since June 2022. She is a graduate of Montgomery High School and completed her college education at Penn State Hazelton. Becky has worked in the Susquehanna valley area for her entire career at several respected and well-run organizations. She has experience in the outpatient setting, inpatient hospital setting, and home health care area. This experience allows her to confidently and compassionately work with any patient she comes in contact with. She can provide excellent care to anyone with any diagnosis from a shoulder strain to Parkinson’s Disease. Becky is a dedicated baseball and hockey Mom and lives outside of Sunbury with her husband Brian and their son Ethan. She enjoys camping and WARM weather and is not a fan of long, cold Winters. She is always willing to go the extra mile such as organizing a warm up for the Sunbury Baseball league, working with local youth hockey players, and taking the lead on our various holiday activities.
Monica Haines, Office Manager
Monica has been with Shipe PT from day one and keeps the wheels turning in the office daily. Without her the schedule would be a mess, the bills would not be paid, and the train would certainly come off of the tracks! Monica is Don’s STEP sister, and although he tells her she is often “annoying”, he knows she is vital to the clinic’s success. She attended McCann School of Business for Accounting and has an Associate’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Healthcare Administration. Monica wears many hats at Shipe PT, often having to be tech support, IT, cleaning crew, and PT Aide depending on the day. She enjoys going for walks/jogs around Selinsgrove where she lives with her husband Dave. She also loves to be with her grandkids and her family in general, including keeping tabs on her “Mom and Pop.” Unfortunately her and Dave are avid Dallas Cowboys fans, but we allow them in the building anyway.
